The climate in Thailand is tropical-monsun, passing out the year the temperatures always are above 18°C. The seasons mainly differ by the amount of the rainfalls. From November till February winds from the north and northwest bring cool and dry air into the country, from March till May (pre monsoon time) it is more than 35 °C hot, the south west monsun brings heavy rain falls starting from June till September.

Best traveling time : The most desired time for a visit in Thailand lies between November and February, if it isn’t too hot and humide. This time range is also the most important season for national and regional festivals in Thailand. The south of Thailand can be preferably visited when the rest of  Thailand becomes fiercly hot (March till May). The most awkward months in Bangkok are April (very hot) and October (very humide).

The touristic main season lies between November and till the end of March, a second peak lies between July and August. This period is also the best time for diving ( very good water conditions and availability of the diving grounds ). If you like to evoid human masses and don’t want to pay high season prices for accommodations, then you should travel during the more quiet months (April till June, September and October). Despite this fact it isn’t non the less difficult to leave back the touristic masses when you just simply leave out the favoured destinations (like Chang Mai as well all islands and beaches).
